About Jane

Those of you who know Jane know that she loves sports, especially soccer.  Soccer has been one of the things that Jane has not been able to play in over three years.  She enjoyed running too, and now with all her injuries she has a tough time just walking.

The past three years have been very rough for Jane.  The spider bites have been just the beginning of the story. Besides the infections stemming from the actual bites, Jane also has a genetic autoimmune disease and has developed MRSA and staff infections, along with a blood infection earier this year that was very serious, and bone infections.  She currently is at the Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Tennessee where she will be for a while.  When asked why she's currently in the hospital, her response was "Severe anemia, treatment for my auto-immune disease, the open wounds on my legs, my weight...take your pick." Her doctors are really worried about her weights right now and have had to put a feeding tube in.

The hospital bills have been growing with each trip to the hospital.  She has been in the hospital for weeks at a time over the past three years with limiting insurance coverage.  She passed the bar in Tennessee, but hasn't been able to work at all as a lawyer yet due to her sickness.
